Rumors about Court Slowing Down

28. February, 2011UncategorizedNo comments

Rumors have surfaced about the Ethiopian Courts cutting the number of cases they can hear from 40 per day to 5 per day.  This was not posted by the courts, it was posted by MOWA.  MOWA has posted a notice with the courts, stating due to their facilities and staffing, they are only able to provide recommendations for up to 5 cases per day.  This has happened before, and is most likely an attempt to get more staff for their Department.  There is a network  in Ethiopia who regulates these types of issues and has meet today in attempt to resolve this matter.  We will keep you posted as more information becomes available.  Our Ethiopian Director does not feel there is any reason to worry or panic.   Thank you!
